BH150 Reactivity management

Are you fed up with "just managing" your lungy barky dog in the moment? You can AMP up your management with an Active Management Plan! Don't improvise, don't "make it up as you go along." Give yourself the gift of preparation, and let's show your dog what to do when life gets hard!

BH160 Sound Advice: Noise Sensitivity

Is your dog worried about the noises around her? This class is for you! Whether the issue is in your house with your dog barking at the sounds outside, or you have a dog that can't go out because buildings creak and doors slam, this class can help. If your dog barks at what he hears and stresses up, or shakes and withdraws and stresses down, we can work to make him feel more at ease. Noise issues tend to get worse if we don't step in and help, so dogs really need us to have a solid plan to intervene and help them through this emotional challenge!

N120J Intro to NW Search Elements

Many teams stall after initial foundations: progress slows, motivation dips, and it can feel hard to know what to train next. This course keeps you moving forward with clear structure and purposeful exercises, so you and your dog continue to build skills instead of losing steam.

NW270 Foundations for Nosework

Have you ever heard the phrase, "Go back to Foundations?" Do you really know what that means? In this class we will learn WHAT the proper foundations are for Nosework and will work on enhancing them.

FF245 Stunt Dog Tricks

Want to train fun, active tricks that "wow" your friends? This class focuses on teaching more extreme tricks that are sure to impress. In this class we will teach body stalls, rebounds, dog catches and other tricks suitable to create a stunt dog routine.

NW530 The Upper Levels: Building Skills for Elite and Summit

There is nothing quite so exhilarating as searching at the Elite and Summit levels. These are levels that push you as a handler to be nimble and focused. In Summit you have to not only maintain that but at an even greater level and over 2 days. At the end of a Summit you feel as if you have sprinted a marathon. Elite and Summit, although at their original conception vaguely imitate real life searching, really are their own unique beast. The handler has to have courage and rapid decision making but yet stay in the game during both very short and more drawn out searches. The team has no chance for downtime because letting up on the gas means you just won’t finish… And staying in too long can sometimes cost you a title!

CC150 FUNctional Foundation Fitness

This class will focus on a solid foundation of the essential fitness skills. This means your dog will be able to perform the most important skills in excellent form. It’s the perfect class for those new to fitness, and wanting to master the basics well without getting super geeky and having HEAPS of exercises to remember and master. The focus will be basics, done well, to help with functional life. This class will also be perfect for younger dogs, older dogs, and potentially dogs with minor issues or recently completing rehab (pending veterinary approval).

Our testimonials

Don't just take our word for it — see what our clients say about their experience working with us.

I'm addicted to the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy! I have never been dissatisfied with any course that I've taken at FDSA. My list of classes that I’ve taken there just gets longer and longer. Fantastic course material and fantastic Instructors! And the courses available just keep growing. After studying at FDSA, I will never take an on-line course somewhere else ..... unless, and only if, it has a full course description and a syllabus (like FDSA). Love FDSA's course syllabus! But, it's very unlikely that I will be interested in another on-line academy! I'm really pleased with the online auditing experience and will do so again. Thank you!

Incredibly informative and helpful class. I am a crossover student, with 35 yrs experience training the "traditional" way. This is a challenge for me! But I have seen significant improvement in my dog's problem areas, so I am now committed to learning these training techniques; I'm starting over with her, having lots of fun and learning new things as fast as I can keep the clicker going! I have high expectations for achieving all of my performance goals using the Fenzi Academy to help me get there. I can't wait for my next class!! Really enjoyed the course! I'm still catching up, but am already looking forward to the next class. So useful, especially if you don't have a really good positive methods trainer where you live!! Helped my dog revive his enthusiasm for working.

A great course - so worthwhile for teams at all different levels. Even at bronze I found it to be fantastic. It felt like it was personal instruction for me - for both of my dogs, each very different. Taking courses from the Fenzi Academy gives you a chance to "work" with many different highly skilled/positive instructors and even today it isn't easy to find that many trainers who are primarily positive at competition levels. I feel like I come away with a new skills or insights from each class I take (4 so far).
