Self-Study Courses
You can purchase selected self-study classes for $50 per class. After purchase, the lectures will appear in your library under “Self Study Classes.” These classes do not include forums or access to instructors for questions or feedback.
Self-study classes are non-refundable, so please review all details carefully before purchasing. You will have access to the materials for one year from enrollment. To keep access to your library, you must enroll in at least one course or workshop each year, or purchase a library pass for $25 per year to retain access to previous materials.

Obedience Games
$50Designed for dogs with all of the skills expected of a dog trained through Utility obedience with Obility movement skills from earlier obility classes. Emphasis on balancing speed with control. Sequences in this class will be a longer and more complex and will emphasize a much thinner reinforcement schedule. Short stretches of formal obedience work will also be incorporated.

Creating a Freestyle Routine
$50This course is designed for those who have never created a freestyle routine or who struggle with putting a routine together. We’ll go over music selection, sequencing behaviors, musicality, use of transitions, handler interpretation, creating meaningful verbal cues, show attire, freestyle vs heelwork to music, what judges are looking for and more! While there are many organizations that convey musical freestyle titles, this course will be geared toward RFE and WCFO style of musical

Heeling Games
$50This course will help participants learn to create excitement and interest in heel work with their dogs. By increasing their attractiveness as a ‘heeling partner’, external reward schedules can be decreased at the same time that natural attention will be developed.

Ob-ility
$50Obility 1 is your introduction to Obility, a fast paced and exciting way to teach obedience! In this class, we will introduce the basic obility commands (fly and thru) and demonstrate how to use them to teach any dog several fundamental obedience exercises. All dogs will be introduced to the obility method of teaching the broad jump, high jump, recall, directed jumping, and gloves ( no retrieves required!). Dogs who enter the class with more obedience skills may also be introduced to the obility method of drop on recall, retrieve on flat, and the signal exercise. We'll work with the skills that you and your dog possess, and add a few new ones to keep you busy! This class is appropriate for any dog or puppy with or without fundamental obedience skills. Only requirements are a a basic off-leash recall and a safe environment for your off leash dog to practice!
This is an excellent choice for obedience dogs that aren't having much fun with their training, and provides a nice introduction to the concept of obility.
This class may be repeated as often as desired until the student feels ready to progress.

Advanced Heeling
$50Advanced heeling picks up where Precision Heeling and Heeling Games leaves off
In this course, you will learn how to solve common problems related to heeling, and better yet, discuss how to prevent them in the first place!

Start by clicking on the Course Schedule link at the top of this page. If registration is open, select the course you wish to take from the list and click on that link. From that page, click on the registration link and choose the enrollment level you are interested in. This webpage describes the steps in more detail.
Registration opens on the 22nd of the month preceding the course start date (ie March 22 for courses beginning April 1st) and close on the 15th day of the month the session has started (ie April 15 for courses starting April 1st). You cannot register for 6 week courses outside of this period.
Scholarships are offered to students who do not feel they can afford the full tuition, but who have a sincere interest in expanding their skills as a dog sport trainer. Scholarships are offered in the form of a 50% tuition credit at the Bronze level. To apply, select the Scholarships link from the top menu (under new students) or click this link. We ask that if you are on a scholarship, you limit yourself to one class. There are a maximum of three scholarships per student permitted in a calendar year.
